Bogie is a handicapped Eclectus unable to extend either stifle (knee) joint. He is also resistant to the extension of the hock and toes prior to sedation (which means there is pain when he does). He has a mild heart murmur as well. We rarely cage him but encourage him to walk the rescue to build up muscle tone. He is afraid of towels at this time. We are working on getting him used to them. He is independent and likes to do his own thing. Bogie is not a cuddler or a breeder bird. He is a nice bird and doesn’t want to be at odds with people or the environment.
