Volunteer With Papayago Rescue House
Volunteering with Papayago Rescue House is more than lending a hand; it’s becoming part of a mission dedicated to the care, protection, and advocacy of parrots in need.
Every bird who comes through our doors has a story. As a volunteer, you become part of what happens next.
Why Volunteer
Your time directly supports:
- The daily care and well-being of parrots
- Rescue and rehabilitation efforts
- Education and community service that improve the lives of birds beyond our walls
Whether you are new to parrots or experienced, there is a place for you here. On-site in Acworth, GA, or off-site anywhere in the world.
What to Expect
Working with parrots is deeply rewarding, but it is also real, hands-on work.
Volunteers help with:
- Cleaning and maintaining enclosures
- Preparing diets and enrichment
- Observing behavior and supporting care routines
Our environment can be:
- Physically active
- Dusty and noisy
- Structured and routine-driven
We share this not to discourage, but to ensure every volunteer walks in prepared and confident.
