Lola is a beautiful 12-year-old female Eclectus parrot. Sadly, Lola’s life took a difficult turn when her “mom” became ill with cancer. Unable to provide the care she once could, Lola and her three siblings were surrendered to our rescue.

Coming to us under such circumstances is always heartbreaking, but Lola’s story has an added layer of complexity. Due to misinformation, she was fed an improper diet for much of her life. This has resulted in some concerning health issues, including behavioral challenges and noticeable fat deposits under her skin. These are direct consequences of a poor diet and will require dedicated care to address.

Lola is now under the expert care of our team and avian veterinarian. She’s on a strict, carefully planned diet designed to slowly and safely improve her health and well-being. This is a crucial step in her rehabilitation, and we’re already seeing glimmers of her interest shine through.

Lola has a long road ahead of her. Reversing the effects of years of improper nutrition takes time, patience, and a lot of love. But we are committed to providing her with the best possible care and support. We believe that with proper nutrition, enrichment, and a loving environment, Lola can live a long and healthy life.

We’re asking for your support to help Lola on her journey to wellness. Your donations will directly contribute to her specialized diet, veterinary care, and the enrichment she needs to thrive. By supporting Lola, you’re not just helping a bird – you’re giving her a second chance at a happy and healthy life. Join us in helping Lola blossom into the vibrant Eclectus she was always meant to be.
