Poindexter is a special soul, a plucky little Moluccan Cockatoo whose journey has led him to the safety and care of our sanctuary side of the rescue. Though his exact age is unknown, his wise eyes and gentle spirit tell a story of endurance. Poindexter lives with arthritis in nearly every joint, making daily life a bit more challenging. But thanks to ongoing medical care and pain management, he continues to enjoy the comforts of his sanctuary home.
While a traditional home isn’t realistic for Poindexter, he thrives in an environment where he receives specialized care, soft perches, and the love of those who understand his unique needs. He reminds us all that every bird, no matter their challenges, deserves compassion, comfort, and a life filled with dignity.
