Mr. Molly is a sweet bird who spent about 30 years with his mom before she had to go to a home to receive care for her Parkinson’s. It was hard on Mr. Molly because so much had to change. He was eating black oil sunflower seeds (the bag said “Critter Food”) and he was in a cage without toys, enrichment, or proper perches. He was located in the laundry room without proper lighting, air ventilation, and human connection. We rocked his world. Even though they are good changes, they are still stressful especially without your family. Mr. Molly is suffering the ramifications of that life with advanced atherosclerosis and possible beak cancer. We could put him through the biopsy but if we find out, there is nothing we can do. So we are taking an approach with our avian vet to ensure he is as comfortable and pain-free as possible. He is on heart medication, cosequin, and fish oils for the proper kind of FA (fatty acids). Please donate to his medicine via our home page or send him a thoughtful gift from his Amazon Wishlist to make him as comfortable and content as possible.

Papaya was bought at a bird fair for a child. As most children do, that child grew up and went away. Papaya is only 13 years old and looking to be in a home that will commit to her. She hasn't been worked with much for a while so she will want someone prepared to …

We received a call from a concerned neighbor right before Christmas that several animals were abandoned in a house and had been there for some time.  One of them was a little cockatiel.  We went and picked up Victor.  We named him Victor because he had been victorious in surviving not only the abandonment but …

Kojak is a stunning SC. He has been in one home with a menagerie of other birds of whom he did not participate with. He is a mature bird that just wants to hang out and watch tv or in front of a window.

Kiaya lost his home due to a new job, relocation, and a change to an apartment. Kiaya seems to be responsive to men but may be open to some women. He really needs a good friend. He deserves someone who is interested in developing a trusted relationship with him to open up to his own …
